Q: What inverter is myENERGY compatible with?

A: Any.
myENERGY monitors the AC output of your inverter, or inverters, so as this is always 240VAC we can monitor any inverter on the market. This simple approach is both cost effective and can greatly reduce commissioning time.

Q: How does myENERGY integrate with the schools IT system?

A: It doesn’t.
myENERGY operates on mobile network technology and ships fully configured and tested. myENERGY does not require configuring of network settings, installation of network infrastructure, modification of existing IT systems on site and avoids the need for reconfiguration if network settings change in the future. This stand alone approach yields savings for both installers and end users by all but eliminating ongoing maintenance.

Q: Can the myENERGYBox be customised to suit my installation?

A: Absolutely!
Off the shelf, myENERGYBox has spare inputs and outputs, as well as full Modbus capability. Use of industry standard hardware and protocols make expansion cost effective both pre or post installation. Some below for some common examples of customisation:

  • Monitoring of multiple solar inverters
  • Monitoring of wind generators
  • Monitoring of multiple distribution boards
  • Installation of an onsite weather station
  • Monitoring of water consumption, storage and collection

Fully customised systems are also available, operating on the same high reliability, low maintenance backbone.

Q: Who provides technical support for the school once the system is installed?

A: We do.
As well as our agreement for data storage and access as specified in the DCSVS requirements, we provide phone and email support direct to the school. We also include an educational resource pack which assists teachers in the education of the key concepts. This consists of a unit plan with resource sheets, and a page with links to other online resources.
